Summer Camp

It’s never too soon to start planning for summer break! CGDA will be offering 7 weeks of summer camp fun starting July 4th. Camps will run from Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (exception of the first week Tues-Fri). Registration will open March 1st.

Recreation Summer Dance Camps (mini 3-6 and junior 8-11)

• July 4-7 (4-day week)

• July 10-4

• July 17-21

• August 31-4

• August 7-11

• August 21-25

Summer Intensive (ages 6+, experience required) please speak to Miss White regarding experience if you have any questions.

• August 14-18

Summer camp volunteers needed! If your dancer is 12 years old or up and would be interested in volunteering as a camp assistant, email us at info@commongrounddance.ca or sign up in-studio.

NEW This Month

CGDA is excited to announce we will be offering a Power Flow Yoga class as of February 19th! Join us Sundays at 12:30pm. Yoga mat rentals are available for $2, no experience required!

Maple Syrup Fundraiser

The maple syrup fundraiser is back! Twenty percent of the proceeds will go towards the annual recital. Order forms will be available at the studio and by email as of February 17th and you’ll have until March 5thto place your orders. Order forms can be dropped off at the front desk of the studio next door to Theory Dancewear. Email ldfallis@outlook.com for any questions.

• Syrup 1.89 L

• Soft maple candy 125 g

• Maple butter 250 g

Delivery is subject to mother nature, we will keep you posted when tree tapping starts!

Recital Theme: Disney

Get excited! This year’s recital theme is Disney! Our dancers will have a chance to perform to one of the favourite Disney tunes. We know adults will enjoy it just as much as our dancers!! Our recital will take place at the Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Blvd, Orléans, ON K1E 0A1.

June 15th, 2023: Show #1 (Shenkman Arts Centre)

We are looking for volunteers for the recital! If you are interested, there will be more information available in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for the sign-up sheet in the studio lobby.  

Family Day 2023

Please note that there will be no class on Family Day, Monday, February 20, 2023.

Students taking their ADAPT exams

CGDA participates in ballet, jazz and tap exams every year. In November 2022 we had 18 students successfully complete their RAD Ballet exams. We are proud of this accomplishment for each of them! Congratulations to all these dancers!!!

This month we have students taking exams in both ADAPT Jazz and Tap! Exams provide an opportunity for dancers to excel in their craft. If your dancer is looking to take that next step in their dance experience, and would be interested in participating in exams in the future, you can email us for more information.
